In some ways, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series has been a bit predictable, but few of us saw episode 5 coming! In the penultimate episode of the miniseries we find out not only whether the Grand Inquisitor really died, but also what drove Reva's actions all along. The episode left us with a new question: did Reva die in Obi-Wan Kenobi?

About Reva

Reva is a young inquisitor also known as "Third Sister." She's first introduced in the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries where she quickly stands out due to her obsession with locating Obi-Wan.

This insistence brings her in direct opposition to her superiors, who have all but given up on the idea of finding the Jedi master.

Eventually, Reva's obsessive wish to find Kenobi leads her to an unorthodox plan that involves kidnapping Princess Leia, knowing that Obi-Wan would look out for her.

At first, Reva seemed loyal to Darth Vader and preoccupied with the idea of rising in the ranks of the Inquisitors, but episode 5 of Obi-Wan Kenobi reveals a more complicated case.

It turns out that as a young child, Reva was training to be a Jedi. When Anakin Skywalker accepted the identity of Darth Vader and attacked the Jedi children, she was the sole survivor.

Her hate for Darth Vader - but also for Obi-Wan who trained him - was a major driving force for all of Reva's unorthodox actions, adding an interesting layer to what seemed like a static character.

After Reva's plan - which both the Grand Inquisitor and Darth Vader himself had managed to see through - she and Darth Vade fought, which predictably resulted in him wounding her. After the Grand Inquisitor was revealed to be alive and aware of Reva's plans, he and Darth Vader leave her for dead. However, she's still alive by the end of the episode, suggesting this is not the last we've seen of her.

The episode concludes with Reva finding evidence of Obi-Wan's communication with Leia's adoptive father.

At this point, it's unclear what she can do with this information. The dark side has abandoned her, and she might not even survive - although, since we didn't see her dying, we think she might stay around for a bit longer.
