Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 might still be adapting the Mugen Train arc right now but the franchise is set to take to the sky next year. All Nippon Airways has just unveiled its awesome Demon Slayer-themed aircraft that will start taking flight starting January 2022.
The parent company of All Nippon Airways has confirmed that one very special airplane will be adorned with the beloved characters from Demon Slayer. The aircraft will also treat its passenger to in-flight announcements recorded by the anime's voice actors. The Japan Times reports that the Demon Slayer plane (should we call it the Mugen Plane?) will start flying on domestic routes starting January next year.
The new plane will be adorned with images of main characters Tanjiro Kamado, his sister Nezuko, Zenitsu Agatsumo, and Inosuke Hashibira. It also features the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba logo. It's the perfect aircraft to promote the anime's second season, which is currently in full swing.
Junko Yazawa, senior vice president of customer experience management and planning at ANA, shared their excitement for the new collaboration. “We are excited to partner with Demon Slayer to generate excitement and share Japanese culture with a wider audience,” Yazawa said in a statement.
The collaboration with All Nippon Airways is just one of the major projects for the franchise. The Demon Slayer anime has just debuted its second season which is currently adapting the Mugen Train arc. Season 2 is then set to follow the Entertainment District arc which will pit Tanjior and company against a dangerous Upper Moon Rank demon with a deadly secret.
The next episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 is titled Akaza and is expected to finally bring in the Upper Moon Rank Three demon who goes up against Rengoku Kyojuro. Episode 6 is scheduled to premiere on FujiTV on November 21, 2021, at 11:15 PM JST.
