It's finally the start of the Entertainment District arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba! The first episode of the arc provided us with brand new content, including new opening and ending credits. Plus, excited fans were finally able to see the anime premiere of Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira!

Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 Recap
Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu continue to cry over Rengoku's passing. Meanwhile, Akaza reports back to Muzan, who expressed disappointment regarding what Akaza accomplished. Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke end up at the Butterfly Mansion to rest up. Tanjiro heads to the Rengoku estate to deliver the Flame Hashira's final messages to his family, despite still needing to rest. Tanjiro and Senjuro begin to talk about Rengoku's passing. Shinjuro, the father, doesn't seem to care about the messages and even calls his son worthless. Tanjiro tells him that he shouldn't talk about his son like that. Shinjuro gets angry after seeing Tanjiro's earrings, calling him a user of the Sun Breathing technique. The two get into a heated argument, and Tanjiro ends up headbutting Shinjuro.
After that, Senjuro and Tanjiro get to talk more. Senjuro hands Tanjiro a book containing records of the former Flame Hashiras, hoping that there are answers regarding the Hinokami Kagura. However, both of them are surprised to see the pages torn apart. Senjuro also shares how he isn't a powerful swordsman, but Tanjiro knows that Kyojuro would be proud of Senjuro no matter what he decides to do with his life. Before Tanjiro leaves, Senjuro gives him Kyojuro's sword guard. After that, Senjuro attempts to deliver Kyojuro's final message to their father. Shinjuro dismisses it, but Senjuro tells him the message anyway. After Senjuro leaves the room, Shinjuro begins to cry.
During the next four months, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke continue with training. The three of them proceed to go on solo missions. For Tanjiro, he now fights the demons together with Nezuko. After returning to the Butterfly Mansion following a mission, Tanjiro then sees Tengen trying to kidnap Naho and Aoi. Tengen tells Tanjiro that he needs the girls for a mission, and he doesn't need Shinobu's permission for it. Tanjiro tells Tengen that "we" will go with Tengen instead, replacing the girls. When Tengen asks who he is referring to, Inosuke and Zenitsu arrive at the scene. Tengen accepts. Before leaving the mansion, Inosuke asks them where they're going, and Tengen mentions the Entertainment District.
