In Set Your Heart Ablaze, Akaza continued to taunt the severely injured Rengoku after their fight. As the demon enumerated Rengoku's injuries, Tanjiro was determined to summon all of his power to help the Flame Hashira. However, Rengoku decided to continue his fight on his own.

But could the fight go a different way if Tanjiro and Inosuke had jumped in to help Rengoku? Although it's possible, it was clear that the fight was between Rengoku and Akaza. On the other hand, the additional help would have been enough to defeat the Upper Rank Three demon.

Although it was too late for Rengoku, he still managed to inflict as much damage to Akaza as possible. At one point, the demon was even terrified that he would be defeated, resulting in him severing his arm that Rengoku had trapped in his own torso.

The end of the Mugen Train arc is here but that also means that we'll be preparing for the next arc. The Entertainment District arc, which is also known as Yukaku-hen, will finally begin next week and that means a new mission for the young Demon Slayers.

The eighth episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 will premiere on FujiTV on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 11:15 PM JST.
