Following Enmu's revelation, Tanjiro is now at a loss with what to do since he's confident that he can only protect two train cars. Nezuko is still trying to wake the others up. Luckily, Inosuke wakes up shortly after and jumps to the top of the train. Tanjiro tells him that Enmu fused with the whole train. Inosuke starts cutting off parts of the demon that are trying to attack the passengers. Nezuko does the same, but her arms and legs are eventually trapped. Zenitsu rescues her just in time and tells her not to worry because he'll protect her.

Everyone is now awake, including Rengoku. He tells Tanjiro about the plan — he'll protect the five train cars at the end, while Zenitsu and Nezuko protect the remaining train cars. Tanjiro and Inosuke go to the front part of the train to look for the demon's head. They successfully find it, but the train driver tries to stop them. He tries to attack Inosuke, but Tanjiro steps in front of Inosuke and gets stabbed. Enmu activates his Blood Demon Art, causing Tanjiro to fall asleep while trying to attack. He almost cuts off his own neck in reality, but Inosuke stops him. The spell isn't as effective on Inosuke, considering he's wearing a boar head. Tanjiro successfully decapitates Enmu after performing the Hinokami Kagura technique.
