Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 6: Can Rengoku Defeat Akaza?

It's Demon Slayer Sunday and fans are understandably hyped up for this week's episode. After all, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 6 is named after the Upper Rank Demon who will go after Tanjiro Kamado and Rengoku Kyojuro. But can the Flame Hashira actually defeat Akaza?

In the previous episode of Demon Slayer Season 2, Tanjiro and Inosuke Hashibira worked together to find Enmu's vulnerable spot while the others defended the sleeping passengers from the demon. Luckily, Tanjiro and Inosuke were able to sever Enmu's spine but it also caused the train to derail, endangering everyone on board.

In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 6, Tanjiro was desperate to keep everyone safe despite the crash and his own injury. As the train went off the rails, it is revealed that Rengoku did everything he could to ensure that all of the passengers will be safe.

Once he is sure that nobody is critically injured, Rengoku turned his attention to Tanjiro and immediately teaches the younger Demon Slayer how to heal himself. The Flame Hashira orders Tanjiro to use his breathing to stop the bleeding and just as the boy succeeds, they are interrupted by the arrival of another demon.

It's pretty obvious that Tanjiro can't fight so this match will be between Rengoku and Akaza. But does the Flame Hashira have what it takes to defeat an Upper Rank demon? Rengoku already proved that he is one of the strongest warriors in the Demon Slayer ranks. However, it is best to remember that Akaza is powerful as well and isn't beyond cheating in a fight.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 7 will be the final episode of the Mugen Train arc. The next episode is titled Set Your Heart Ablaze ("Kokoro o Moyase") and will premiere on FujiTV on November 28, 2021, at 11:15 PM JST.
