It's Demon Slayer Sunday and that means it's time for what could be the most exciting episode of Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2. The penultimate episode gave us another shocking cliffhanger but it also has people looking forward to the final episode of the Entertainment District arc. Luckily, we now know the official title and release date for the Yukaku-hen season finale. In addition to that, we got awesome details on next week's episode!
The official title and release date for Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 18 was shared by the franchise's official Twitter account. It is confirmed that the season finale will air on Sunday next week without any delays.
Interestingly, it was also confirmed that the Demon Slayer Season 2 finale is going to be 45 minutes long. Although the episode's runtime was previously reported here, it's still great to get an official announcement from the franchise.
Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 17 revealed what happened after the heroes faced defeat last week. Tanjiro loses consciousness as soon as he landed on the ground and dreams about Nezuko telling him it is not his fault. When he awakens, he is immediately faced by Gyutaro, who decides to toy with the injured boy and taunt him for being pathetic.
Amazingly, Tanjiro manages to run away and regain his stamina just as he stabs Gyutaro with a Wisteria extract-laced kunai. The fight breaks out again as Tanjiro struggles to decapitate Gyutaro while Zenitsu goes for Daki's neck. Tengen joins the struggle against Gyutaro while Inosuke reveals his wounds are not as fatal as the demons thought.
It ends will Gyutaro and Daki being decapitated but the worst has yet to come. Gyutaro's body suddenly explodes with his Blood Demon Art unleashed and viewers are left wondering if there are any survivors.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 18 is titled No Matter How Many Lives ("Nando Umarekawatte mo"), a reference to Chapter 96 and 97 in the manga. The final episode of Yukaku-hen will air on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 11:15 PM JST.
