Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 11: Why Did Daki Take Zenitsu?

Things are certainly heating up in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 now that we have finally met the dangerous new Upper Rank Demon. In the previous episode, it was finally revealed that the Warabihime Oiran of the Kyogoku House was actually the demon Daki who has been operating in the Yoshiwara red-light district for centuries. Interestingly, it was Zenitsu who first encountered Daki and ended up being injured by the demon's violent outburst. But why did the Obi Demon decide to abduct the young Demon Slayer at the end of Yukaku-hen Episode 3?

In the last few minutes of Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 10, the injured Zenitsu was attended by the grateful staff members he defended against Warabihime Oiran. The girls made sure Zenitsu was recuperating well and even gave him some food before leaving him so he can rest. However, as Zenitsu sat in his room, the Obi Demon suddenly appeared and grabbed him.

It's not a surprise that Daki would go after Zenitsu. After all, he had offended her by defending the staff member and the demon sensed that there is something different about "Zenko." Daki could want to torture the boy before eventually eating him. There is also a possibility that he wants to question him about the other Demon Slayers who are looking for her.

For now, it's unclear where Daki had taken Zenitsu or Makio, who she had abducted from the Ogimoto House. However, there is little doubt that Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Tengen Uzui will be looking for them in Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 11.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 11 is titled Tonight ("Konya"). The episode will be slightly delayed as it airs on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at 11:30 PM JST.
