Inosuke was so close to catching up with Makio, but the demon holding her captive escaped quickly. Meanwhile, Zenitsu ends up having an encounter with the demon they've been trying to locate at the Kyogoku House.

Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 10 Recap
While investigating inside the Ogimoto House, Inosuke notices something suspicious near Makio's room. Upon entering Makio's messy room, Inosuke tries to catch up with the presence that he senses. He begins running around the house but eventually loses track. He also accidentally punches a customer.
Meanwhile, at the Kyogoku House, Zenitsu is initially at a loss with what he's been doing. He hasn't heard anything regarding Hinatsuru. While trying to listen to the surroundings again to see if something comes up, he hears a girl crying and immediately rushes over to the scene. There he finds a young girl crying inside a wrecked room. While consoling the young girl, he encounters the Upper Rank Demon Daki, disguised as an oiran named Warabihime.
Zenitsu immediately notices that she is a demon. Two other young girls standing by the doorway apologize to the oiran, saying that Zenitsu is new and didn't know that he was in her room. Daki continues to act harshly, scolding the crying young girl for not cleaning up the mess in her room. The young girl's ear starts bleeding, and Zenitsu intervenes. He grabs Daki's arm and pleads with her to let the young girl go. Daki calls Zenitsu ugly and eventually hits him in the face, sending him flying and unconscious. However, Daki notices that Zenitsu's injuries are probably minor since he went on the defensive. She suspects that he must be with the Demon Slayer Corps.
At the Tokito House, Tanjiro remains hardworking and diligent. By the end of the episode, Tanjiro smells the presence of a demon in the air. In the post-credits scene, Daki captures Zenitsu.
