Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 1 Runtime Revealed

People are undoubtedly thrilled that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 is finally coming this October. In addition to that, fans are loving the idea that the second season will kick off with an episode that's all about Rengoku Kyojuro. Now, the official runtime for the premiere episode has been revealed and it confirms we're getting a whole lot more of the Flame Hashira.

Last week, it was confirmed that Demon Slayer Season 2 will be released on October 10. It was also revealed that the first seven episodes will depict the Mugen Train arc, taking footage from the Demon Slayer movie and adding new footage as well. However, the best news here was the premiere episode focusing on Rengoku which will reveal what he was up to before he boarded the train.

It's a special episode considering that Rengoku's perspective prior to his appearance at the train is not in the manga. This means manga readers and anime fans will have NO idea what to expect in the premiere. The second thing that makes the first episode so special is that it's going to be an hour long.

That's right, Demon Slayer Season 2 will start with what is probably the anime's longest episode to date. The first season's episodes were generally around 20 to 30 minutes long so the Season 2 premiere is set to be truly epic.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 premieres with Rengoku's special episode on October 10, 2021. The Entertainment District arc will air on December 5, 2021.
