There is little doubt that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 is currently in full swing and fans have been watching each episode as soon as it drops. But when are we going to get the English dub of the beloved anime? Luckily, the English dub release date has been announced, at least for a few episodes!
Funimation has just confirmed that the first Demon Slayer Season 2 English dub episodes will finally be dropped this week. But don't get too excited about hearing Tengen Uzui's English-speaking voice just yet. It was also confirmed that only the first seven episodes are getting the English dub this Friday.
The first seven episodes of Demon Slayer Season 2 followed the Mugen Train arc and only the premiere episode featured new footage since it focused on Kyojuro Rengoku's activities prior to boarding the train. The succeeding six episodes were just Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie - Mugen Train footage.
We might not hear Uzui or Daki's English dub voices just yet but it's still a great start. Hopefully, the English dub for the Entertainment District arc episodes will be announced soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
We'll have to wait a little longer for Yukaku-hen English dub but fans can still enjoy the subbed episodes which are being dropped every Sunday. The latest episode finally introduced Gyutaro, Daki's brother who shares her body and is an even more powerful opponent for the Demon Slayers. Next week's episode promises the continuation of Uzui's fight against the siblings and Tanjiro Kamado joining the epic showdown.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 15 is titled Gathering ("Shuketsu") which refers to the manga's 87th chapter where Daki and Gyutaro continue to fight Tengen Uzui. Episode 8 of the Entertainment District arc will premiere on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 11:15 PM JST.
