The exclusive item sold out fast after an army of dedicated fans bought them up; some of them queued for up to five hours at the cart where it was being sold.

It's easy to see why fans flocked to get a Demon Slayer popcorn bucket, as the theme park is able to capture the incredible details of Nezuko's character design. In the anime series based on Koyoharu Gotouge's manga series, Nezuko wears a bamboo muzzle to resist the urge to bite people after turning into a demon, and spends her day sleeping in a wooden box to protect her skin from the demon-burning rays of the sun.

The bucket accurately features both the muzzle and box elements, and it also comes filled with Honey Plum-flavoured popcorn. Sales first kicked off last Thursday, September 16, with purchases limited to three per customer at 3,700 yen each.

Both the muzzle and box elements have been accurately carried over to the bucket, which also comes filled with Honey Plum-flavoured popcorn. Sales first kicked off on 16 September, with purchases limited to three per customer at 3,700 yen each ($33.75 USD).

However, in the next day, stock started to run out, so the limit was reduced to only one box per customer, Geek Culture reports. Popcorn buckets sold out at 10:30 am, so many fans who had queued up for several hours had to leave empty-handed.

With the overwhelming demand, resellers took the opportunity to list them on online marketplaces at insane prices, with the highest listed at 13,555 yen. However, Universal Studios Japan is looking to refilling its stock soon, so more fans will be able to get their hands on the special Demon Slayer bucket.

Demon Slayer Season 2 is set to premiere this fall, and you can read more details about the upcoming episodes here, but don't expect Netflix to release the new season anytime soon.
