Delicious in Dungeon has a colorful cast, with each character having unique specialties and abilities, but which of them is the strongest? Here are the strongest characters in Delicious in Dungeon.
Of course, it’s tough to accurately rank each character given the diversity of their abilities, not to mention that some are better against monsters while others are strong against human foes.
Moreover, the characters often work as a team, meaning a party’s synergy is more important than individual strength.
Because of these, our ranking is based on how we think the characters will fare on their own in terms of strength in battle. Thus, characters such as Chilchuck are out because they don’t specialize in combat.
Plus, this ranking is based on the characters’ feats shown in the anime so far, meaning those who haven’t shown their battle skills such as Leed the Orc are not part of this list.
Finally, monsters aren’t part of this list as it only includes named characters in the main human-like races.
Maizuru
As shown in the Delicious in Dungeon anime, Maizuru acts as the de facto leader of Shuro’s other retainers.
While she and the rest of Shuro’s party were essentially wiped by Falin in her chimera form, she is said to be a capable mage.
Her healing abilities make her a strong supporting character, and she is also said to be good in battle.
Of course, given that she’s a mage, she is outshined in a one-on-one by the other main characters. Plus, her offensive abilities haven’t been shown much so far.
Rin
Rin is a mage in Kabru’s party, and while the party has succumbed to some untimely deaths against monsters, the fight against chimera Falin showed just how strong she can be.
Her main offensive ability is lighting magic, and it was powerful enough to knock Falin down, enough that Kabru was able to attack. While this was a powerful attack, Rin hasn’t shown much else combat-wise.
Marcille
There’s an argument to be made that Rin or Maizuru can outshine Marcille in combat, but purely based on her feats in the anime, she deserves the eighth spot on the list.
Marcille’s black magic capabilities aren’t really useful in combat, but she is shown to be proficient in fire magic.
This, coupled with her versatility can give her an edge in combat, though warriors should still outshine her in single combat.

Namari
The dwarf Namari is a capable warrior, and even without training, she can use a crossbow and shoot it accurately. Thus, it’s safe to say she’s a weapon expert and an asset to any party.
Aside from this feat, Namari hasn’t exactly shown her skills in the anime yet.
For now, she’s in the seventh spot on our list, though her ranking can rise if she is able to show her abilities in combat.
Senshi
Even before joining Laios’ party, Senshi survived for quite a while by himself in the dungeon. This means Senshi is a strong warrior. It also helps that his pot is an incredibly strong shield that can resist dragonfire.
Despite this, Senshi’s survival is mostly down to the fact that he knows how to pick his battles, especially against monsters. When it comes to tactics, he may not be the brightest given how easily he falls for traps.
Kabru
Kabru and his party may have been wiped out several times already by monsters, but Kabru is no doubt one of the strongest characters so far, at least when it comes to facing human enemies.
For instance, he was able to make quick work of the thieves, and he was able to strike chimera Falin multiple times even if it did not work because of her chimera nature.
Laios
When it comes to sheer strength and abilities, Laios isn’t particularly noteworthy compared to other characters. What he does have is tenacity and a surprisingly brilliant tactical mind, especially against monsters.
As shown in the anime, Laios can think on his feet and can figure out the weaknesses of monsters, enough that he was able to take down the Red Dragon (with help from his party of course).
This doesn’t extend to human enemies though, making him essentially the reverse of Kabru.
Thus, an argument can be made that Laios and Kabru’s position in the strength ranking can be switched depending on the enemy.

Shuro
Laios’ former party member Shuro hails from the east, and he is a strong swordsman. This was proven when he led his party against the sea serpent, saving Kabru and his party.
In the show’s 17th episode, Shuro is knocked down by Laios in their fistfight, though that’s mostly because Shuro hasn’t been eating or sleeping properly since he came back to the dungeon.
Given that Laios said how he was saved multiple times by Shuro, it’s fair to say that Shuro is a more capable combatant than Laios in a straight 1v1 fight.

Falin (Chimera)
Even before becoming a chimera, Falin was already a strong mage, at least when it comes to supportive abilities.
As a chimera though, Falin is incredibly strong, as she was able to make quick work of Shuro’s retainers and everyone in Kabru’s party.
Even if everyone teamed up, they likely wouldn’t be able to defeat Falin in her current form.
Thus, it’s safe to say that she’s one of the strongest characters in the series right now, possibly stronger than even the Red Dragon given her ability to cast magic.
Lunatic Magician
The Lunatic Magician hasn’t been shown in straight combat yet, but the fact that he can command chimera Falin means he’s a powerful mage.
Coupled with the fact that he is the creator of the show’s dungeon, it should be safe to say that, right now, the Lunatic Magician is the strongest Delicious in Dungeon character.
