Following the film’s reveal back in November, the Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction film got a new trailer that previewed its theme songs performed by Lilas Ikuta and Ano.
This new trailer is also the film’s first proper showcase as it shows off new footage featuring the voices of its two popular leads.
Lilas Ikuta and Ano Theme Songs for Dededede Destruction Previewed in Trailer
Aside from the fact that Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction is based on a manga by Inio Asano (of Goodnight Punpun fame), the film’s two main voice actresses are one of its main draws.
Starring as the protagonist Kadode Koyama is Lilas Ikuta, a singer who is best known as one-half of YOASOBI, the duo that’s best known for performing Oshi no Ko's opening theme, Idol.
Joining Ikuta is Ano, who plays Ouran Nakagawa. Ano is another popular Japanese singer who performed one of the ending themes of Chainsaw Man.
The new trailer previews Ikuta and Ano’s voice-acting chops, as well as their theme songs. You can check it out here:
As the film will be split into two parts, there are two theme songs. The first part’s song is titled Zett-Zett-Zett-Zett- Zettai Seiiki and it’s credited to Ano feat. Lilas Ikuta.
Meanwhile, the second theme song is titled Seishun Oka by Lilas Ikuta feat. Ano.
Along with the two main stars, the film also features a bevy of well-known VAs, including:

- Miyuri Shimabukuro (Kohakumiya in Vermeil in Gold) as Ai Demoto

- Koki Uchiyama (Kei Tsukishima in Haikyuu!!) as Kenichi Kohiruimaki
- Taito Ban (Sung Jin-Woo in Solo Leveling) as Naoki Watarase
- Junichi Suwabe (Yami Sukehiro in Black Clover) as Hiroshi Nakagawa
- Kenjiro Tsuda (Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Nobuo Koyama

Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction Two-Part Film Release Dates in Japan
As the manga is 12 volumes in length, just one movie won’t be able to do it justice. Thus, the Dededede Destruction film will be split into two parts.
Part 1 will be released in Japanese cinemas on March 22, 2024. Interestingly, the gap between the two movies won’t be long, as Part 2 will be screened beginning on April 19, 2024.
Right now, there’s no word on plans for an international theatrical release for this film.
Fans outside of Japan who can’t wait can at least read the manga as it’s published in North America by Viz Media.
