There's no denying that Deadpool has become one of the most popular comic book characters out there and despite only having two live-action outings under his belt, it's amazing how Wade Wilson has already reached the same pedestal as his Marvel contemporaries like Spider-Man, Iron-Man, and Wolverine.

Now, as we await the Marvel Cinematic Universe arrival of the Merc with a Mouth in Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds, the fourth-wall-breaking anti-hero is celebrating a huge milestone on social media. On Twitter, the official Deadpool page celebrated reaching 1 million followers on the platform and in true Wade Wilson fashion, added a little dose of profanity to the post, noting that "sexy guys finish last".

Intriguingly, the post's alt description says "next goal: a million dreams" which is obviously a direct reference to The Greatest Showman which stars Hugh Jackman. Of course, the Australian actor has long been rumored to be coming out of his Wolverine retirement and both Jackman and Reynolds have been teasing fans on social media. Check it out here:

Deadpool's social media alone is enough indication that despite being under the Disney umbrella, Mr. Pool won't be losing his trademark sense of humor in favor of the House of Mouse's family-centric values.

Meanwhile, Marvel Studios is still keeping the fans in the dark with regards to the status of the third Deadpool film and while many thought Kevin Feige was going to announce news last July at San Diego Comic-Con, that just wasn't the case.

Deadpool 3 is currently in development.
