Deadpool Star Ryan Reynolds Almost Crushed by Collapsing Stage Barrier at Convention


Ryan Reynolds really has the reflexes of a superhero.

The Deadpool star was nearly crushed by a stage barrier at the 2019 CCXP in Brazil last weekend. Luckily, the actor managed to jump out of the way before the barrier could fall on him. The incident was captured on video by fans at the event and has been shared on Twitter.

Not only did the Hollywood actor manage to jump out of th way unscathed, he also decided to move in and check whether the fans who fell on the barrier were alright.

Based on all the videos shared on Twitter, the event managed to continue without any hiccups or any injuries after the dangerous incident. The CCXP sure is lucky that Reynolds' experience in comic book movies gives him the reflexes of a hero – that barrio could have seriously injured the actor had he not managed to jump out of the way.

In other news, Reynolds has been keeping himself busy while Disney tries to decide how to bring the Marc with a Mouth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only is the Deadpool star going to star in Michael Bay's new Netflix action movie, 6 Underground, but he's also going to play the lead in Shawn Levy's upcoming science fiction-action comedy movie, Free Guy.

For those out of the loop, Free Guy features the story of a NPC (non playable character) played by Ryan Reynolds in an open world videogame who suddenly becomes aware of the world that his in and decides to take charge of his life.

Free Guy has a super interesting premise, and it's a great film to pass the time while we wait for the next Deadpool movie.

Free Guy is set to premiere on July 3. 6 Underground hits much earlier, releasing on Netflix on December 13.
