The Marvel Cinematic Universe is already a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment world but you can't deny the fact that Deadpool's impending arrival to the franchise will be a major game-changer. In case you haven't heard yet, Marvel Studios has already confirmed that Deadpool 3 is in the works, and not only that, but it will retain its R-rating, something that shocked a lot of people considering the studio has long been playing by its "family-friendly" rulebook.

So far, very little is known about the project aside from Ryan Reynolds being involved in writing and overseeing its script. But given the fact that it's dubbed as a "sequel", it's safe to assume that the film's story will pick up where Deadpool 2 left off and will most likely include the original cast members. Speaking of, Cable actor Josh Brolin has finally addressed his potential involvement in the sequel.

Of course, a lot of people know him for portraying Thanos in the franchise but he also made a mark playing Cyclops' son from the future. In a recent virtual interview with ACE Universe, Brolin offered a pretty vague answer regarding his possible return as Cable. He said: "Deadpool worked out very much in my favor. Deadpool was supposed to be four movies. Maybe there'll be more — I don't know what Marvel has in store — but it turned out to be one really fun movie for me."

Brolin didn't exactly fit the Cable mold when he joined the Deadpool franchise but there's no denying that the actor turned a lot of heads with his performance. Sure, he'll always be Thanos to some people and I'm pretty positive Deadpool 3 will once again be cracking jokes about his MCU "past" and I think that's okay. Fans will eventually forget about it in the long run anyway.

Deadpool 3 is under development.
