Deadpool 3 Star Hugh Jackman Reveals He Is Now Cancer-Free

As MCU fans eagerly wait for new updates on the progress of Deadpool 3, Hugh Jackman shares brilliant news on his part: the 54-year-old actor has declared himself cancer-free!

Jackman is quite open when it comes to sharing his update with fans about his health scare with skin cancer. The actor has been historically treated several times for Basal Cell Carcinoma in the past, wherein he had his first cancerous cells removed back in 2013.

The Deadpool 3 star posted a new Instagram video last Monday, urging fans to use sunscreen this summer as he had announced having had two biopsies for his nose, seeing as his doctor claimed that the spots on the actor’s nose may be signs of Basal Cell Carcinoma, a common type of skin cancer caused by overexposure to the sun.

The actor brought good news by posting the results of his recent biopsies to check for cancer on his Instagram story (via AS.com and NBC News): “My biopsies came back negative!!! Thank you ALL for the love. I feel it!”

It is worth mentioning that Jackman’s skin cancer is a non-melanoma, which means it is less likely to spread and is easily treatable, considering 90 percent of the cases were treated.

Seeing as the Aussie actor lives in the skin cancer capital of the world, Jackman is lucky to have been brought back with negative test results. Though the skin cancer is considered to be “the least dangerous of them all”, the actor once again emphasized in his Instagram post:

“Please wear sunscreen. It is just not worth it. No matter how much you want to tan: Trust me, trust me, trust me. Put some sunscreen on. You’ll still have an incredible time out there. Please be safe.”

In the meantime, we’ll be seeing Hugh Jackman reprise his Wolverine role in Marvel’s Deadpool 3, which is currently slated to be released on November 8, 2024.
