Deadpool 3 Will Reportedly Feature Beloved Loki Character

MCU fans have been excited and anticipating the release of Deadpool 3. Not only because Ryan Reynolds is returning to play the titular role and join the MCU, but it will also bring back Hugh Jackman's Wolverine several years after we last saw him in Logan. So far, the plot details for the film are being kept under wraps. Now, a new rumor is making rounds that potentially hints at what the story will be.

As reported by The Direct, notable scooper Daniel Richtman has claimed that Owen Wilson will appear in Deadpool 3 reprising the role of his Loki character Mobius. While he didn't give out any specifics about his involvement in the film, he did hint that the actor will have a "big role."

We do have to take note that this news has been confirmed by Marvel nor reported by the major trades so we have to take it with a grain of salt for now. However, Richtman has reported a lot of accurate scoops so we have to take this rumor into strong consideration.

Considering that it is being speculated that the film will be seeing Deadpool traveling through the multiverses from the Fox universe to the MCU, it does make sense to have Mobius involved in the story since his potential actions are worthy of being investigated by the TVA, which oversees the multiverses.

Wilson is also expected to return as Mobius in the upcoming second season of Loki so it is proof that Marvel has a lot of plans for the character and his involvement in the TVA makes him responsible for any kind of multiversal events.

For now, let's just wait and see for any official news and updates on whether Wilson is actually in the film or any other information surrounding the project. Nevertheless, it is exciting to hear the prospect that the beloved character might make a major appearance in the upcoming film.

Deadpool 3 is slated for release in theaters on November 8, 2024. You can check more details about it here.
