Deadpool 2 had a lot of surprising twists when it hit cinemas early this year, and one of the biggest surprises in the comic book movie was the early death of Wade Wilson's (Ryan Reynolds) love interest, Vanessa Carlysle (Morena Baccarin).
Now, with the Deadpool 2's supercut out on both Blu-Ray and DVD, fans finally get to see a behind-the-scenes video showcasing one important aspect of the death of Vanessa – the gunshot.
Taking to Twitter, Baccarin just recently shared a video of herself going through the visual effects makeup process of her bullet wound for Deadpool 2.

The process seems pretty quick and painless – unlike the death scene in the Deadpool sequel. The Merc with a Mouth spiraled into depression after seeing his fiancé die, and at some point in the movie, Deadpool tried to kill himself by lighting off huge barrels of explosives.
However, while Wade Wilson took Vanessa's death pretty hard, fans had mixed reactions to the storyline, saying that Vanessa's onscreen death turned out too tropey for comfort. Of course, Deadpool has always loved playing around with tropes, and the Merc with a Mouth's second standalone movie doesn't seem to be any different.
Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut is currently available on Blu-Ray and DVD.
