Deadpool 2 Possibly Getting Name Change

The Deadpool 2 trailer has hit the worldwide web and fans are ridiculously happy with the content seen in the video. While it was mostly the Merc with a Mouth pretending to be Bob Ross, there was also a short sequence of actual footage that got people pumped up. With all that in mind, it might be jarring to know that Fox is planning to change the name of the next year's sequel.

According to Comic Book, press releases following the trailer's release has dubbed the movie as the Untitled Deadpool Sequel. Even the film's official website calls it that, so it looks like the sequel is going to get a name change. Admittedly, calling the film Untitled Deadpool Sequel would match the humor associated with the character, but that might not gel well with fans.

Whatever it ends up being called, there's no doubt that fans will be excited to see it. It might be too early to call it Deadpool and X-Force since Fox has plans to bring that group to the big screen, so we will have to wait and see. Sequels not having numbers has been trendy lately, so this might be a good move, assuming its official title doesn't suck.

Deadpool 2, or the Untitled Deadpool Sequel, will be coming out on June 1, 2018.
