One project that is already generating a ton of buzz is the Booster Gold series. While Michael Jon Carter's involvement in Chapter 1 came as a huge shock to some, Gunn revealed last year that he's one of the characters diehard fans want to see in their live-action universe.

As it stands, we still don't know which actor will play the part although it is said that the DC Studios co-CEOs are already negotiating with a certain star whose identity still remains a mystery.

Some are speculating that Chris Pratt could be the one who'll breathe life into the character, especially after Gunn confirmed that the door is open for his Guardians of the Galaxy cast to enter the DCU, now that the beloved Marvel franchise is coming to an end. However, it's evident that fans aren't down with the idea of Pratt becoming Booster Gold.

Pratt definitely has the charisma and humor that would make him a convincing Booster Gold but his age will obviously play a huge factor. Gunn and Safran have both stated that they're looking to cast younger actors.

Key details about HBO Max's Booster Gold series have yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, the DCU's first chapter begins with Superman: Legacy which is slated for release on July 11, 2025.
