DC Studios is developing a DCU movie that will crossover the fan-favorite Batman villains Deathstroke and Bane.
The studio is currently working on multiple projects as part of their relaunch of the new DC franchise under the management of James Gunn and Peter Safran. It will begin later this year with the release of Creature Commandos.
With the arrival of Superman next year, fans are now looking forward to seeing how they'll introduce the DCU version of Batman. As it turns out, the villains will also be getting their spotlight as well.
Deathstroke and Bane Movie in the Works at DC Studios
Reports have confirmed that a Deathstroke and Bane DCU team-up movie is currently in development at DC Studios.
As of writing, there is no cast and crew attached to the project aside from Captain America: Brave New World co-writer Matthew Orton who is working on the script.
This comes as both The Penguin and Joker: Folie à Deux, which both focus on Batman villains, are currently making waves in their respective releases.
There are no plot details yet on the villain crossover movie or whether it has some connection to the Batman DCU movie The Brave and the Bold.
This is an intriguing project considering that Deathstroke and Bane have not done any major team-up in the comics and they are not the type of characters that you wouldn't consider for a DCU solo movie project at this point.
It is likely that DC Studios came up with an exciting idea with the two characters and it could result in an awesome action movie that will give spotlight to the iconic villains that have been consistenly beloved by fans for many years.
For now, let's wait and see for more news and updates regarding the project as development is still ongoing and we might be able to find out soon whether it will get a greenlight.
