The Joker is already no stranger to peculiar moments, be it in comics or in film and since the character's inception, DC has consistently tested the waters on how far they can go with the so-called Clown Prince of Crime. Well, the new year started off with a major bang for Batman's number foe and the current comics storyline featuring Joker sees the notorious villain in his most bizarre transformation yet.

In the fourth issue of the ongoing comic book series The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing by Matthew Rosenberg and Carmine Di Giandomenico (via The Direct), it was revealed that Zatanna got the Joker pregnant. Yes, you read that right!

It turns out that the Mistress of Magic cast a spell on Mistah J after he attempted to persuade her to start a family with him. Zatanna uttered the spell "no one else will ever have [the Joker's] baby" but it immediately backfired as the true intention of the spell was twisted, resulting in the villain carrying his own child who is strangely made out of a mud-like substance.

Now, in case you were wondering if DC Studios is brave enough to incorporate something so strange into live-action, it's worth noting that James Gunn is one of the craziest minds in Hollywood and we've already seen what he's capable of when he's given full creative control and an R-rating as a bonus.

I'm not saying the whole Joker pregnancy storyline thing will make its way to the DC Universe soon but this is a different franchise we're talking about.

Speaking of the Clown Prince of Crime, Joker: Folie à Deux is scheduled for theatrical release on October 4, 2024.
