DC is treating Wonder Woman #750 the same way they did Action Comics #1000 and Detective Comics #1000, by giving the issue a buttload of variant covers that cover the decades Wonder Woman has been in publishing. The issue itself will be 96 pages, 80 of which will be brand-new stories with different creative teams, which will likely get a nice hardcover reprint that comes with some neat extras.
Well, DC has decided to release the Wonder Woman #750 decades variants and most of them are gorgeous, albeit a bit basic. While they all look nice and wouldn't be out of place in anyone's comic book collection, none of them have that celebratory feel that Mike Allred and Michael Cho variants of Action Comics #1000 and Detective Comics #1000 respectively.
On the bright side, at least Jim Lee isn't doing the main cover this time? We're sure some fans will take umbrage with the fact that he is doing the 2000's variant for the comic but that's not a bad thing. As an on-again-off-again fan of Lee, I do know that he can draw the character well but he is far from synonymous with Wonder Woman.
An all-star 96-page celebration of the Amazon Princess by longtime favorites and acclaimed new voices! In the lead story, Wonder Woman's epic "Year of the Villain" battle comes to a close, leading the way to new challenges ahead. Additionally, this oversized gem tells tales from Diana's past, present and future by some of the greatest storytellers in the business- including Colleen Doran, Mariko Tamaki, the Teen Titans: Raven team of writer Kami Garcia and artist Gabriel Picolo, and legendary Wonder Woman creators returning to the character, including Gail Simone and Greg Rucka!
Wonder Woman #750 comes out on January 22.
