DC fans have long been hoping to see the removal of Amber Heard from the Aquaman franchise and while it seemed like an improbability for years, the actress' loss against Johnny Depp in their multi-million defamation trial signaled a massive turning point for the controversial star.

Just days after the verdict was reached, a major rumor began swirling all over the internet that all of Heard's scenes have officially been cut from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. It's worth noting that Amber reportedly only had less than 10 minutes of screen time for the DCEU sequel and it's something the actress confirmed during the height of the trial.

Shockingly enough, the DCEU fandom has mixed reactions over the said rumor but for the most part, Amber's critics were elated to learn about her possible ousting not only from the sequel but from the entire franchise.

While nothing has officially been confirmed, the general belief right now is that Amber's days in the franchise are finally numbered. Check out some of the reactions below:

As it stands, Warner Bros. and DC Films have yet to confirm the legitimacy of the rumor and it wouldn't be shocking if they prolonged the suspense until Aquaman 2 comes out. I gotta say though, Amber's chances aren't looking great, especially after losing the trial. But then again, they're keeping Ezra Miller in The Flash despite his personal controversies.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's theatrical release has been rescheduled to March 17, 2023.
