DC Fans Are Baffled By Stephen King's Latest Comment About The Flash

The Flash is the most anticipated yet most controversial film of the DCU right now. Some fans are planning to boycott it once it arrives while others are excited to see what the fuss is about.

The DC movie’s lead star, Ezra Miller, has been caught up in a series of allegations of problematic behavior. A progressive group of people has been campaigning for the actor to be removed from the film, but he hasn’t.

Given that DCU's recent offerings, Shazam 2 and Black Adam, have failed at the box office, they utterly want this next film to be a success, and a little noise from the right people might actually get them that.

In March, Tom Cruise said that he has seen The Flash and is said to have raved about it, claiming 'everything you want in a movie' and 'this is the kind of movie we need now.

Now, best-selling author Stephen King has joined the mix of those who have early access to the DC movie after he announced on social media that he utterly loved it.

“I got an advance screening of THE FLASH today. As a rule, I don't care a lot for superhero movies, but this one is special. It's heartfelt, funny, and eye-popping. I loved it.” said King.

DC fans took to Twitter to express their confusion on why A-list figures are out of nowhere reviewing the film, especially King, who’s not even a fan of superhero movies.

Some fans pointed out that WB is pulling a massive promotion given that there are only two outcomes that The Flash might fall into making it or getting smashed in the process.

Meanwhile, @midwestbimbo argued: “This is pr at work btw. Because of the replies on this and no one being like….the flash. The movie with Ezra Miller?? The same person who has grooming allegations??? It's really wild.”

The Flash opens in theaters on June 16, 2023.
