It's been a long while since we last saw Keanu Reeves in a comic book project and while he recently confirmed that he's been in talks with Marvel Studios, Warner Bros. Discovery got the last laugh as the Hollywood icon is set to reprise his role as Constantine in the DC universe. The 2005 film was a financial flop, only grossing $230 million worldwide which is incredibly low for a superhero film at the time.

Naturally, its lackluster performance at the box office wasn't enough to warrant a sequel but somehow, the original film gained a cult-like following over the years, and with Keanu becoming an even bigger deal in Hollywood than he already was, WB can't pass up the opportunity of cashing in on the so-called "Keannussance".

As it stands, we still don't know much about the sequel and which universe it falls into but fans are definitely stoked for John Constantine's big-screen comeback. Now, in case you were wondering how Keanu would look as Constantine nearly two decades later, Instagram artist @spdrmnkyxxiii recently shared an astonishing artwork depicting Keanu's potential look for the sequel, and to put it simply, he looks badass. It's worth mentioning that Keanu kept his trademark "John Wick look" for The Matrix Resurrections so it wouldn't be that surprising if present-day Constantine will look virtually the same. Hopefully, the sequel will be able to surpass its predecessor in every aspect because if not, WB's gamble will only go to waste.

Key details about the Constantine sequel are still being kept under wraps. Meanwhile, you can watch the original film on HBO Max.
