X-Men: Dark Phoenix is coming out next month and fans thought that they knew all of the characters who would be appearing in Fox's final mutant-filled installment. However, a new music video for the tie-in song Extraordinary Being has a ton of new footage and revealed that fan-favorite character Dazzler will be in the movie. That's right, she is seen briefly here and is expected to have a small role in Dark Phoenix.
As can be seen below, Dazzler looks a lot like her classic comic book counterpart, which will please hardcore enthusiasts. They could have easily gone for her punk-rock Ultimate form but opted out for her classic costume, which is great.
Dazzler was teased in X-Men: Apocalypse, somewhat, shown in an image that did not make the final film. Now, we actually get to see her perform in a concert and use her mutant abilities in action. Like the comics, she converts sound into light, which should make for a visually stunning scene if done right. We probably shouldn't expect her to join the X-Men.
Fans will remember how Dazzler had a small role to play in The Dark Phoenix Saga, where she performs in concert and helps the X-Men take down some baddies. She also had her own solo series for a while and has joined several mutant teams since, including Brian Michael Bendis' Uncanny X-Men.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix comes out on June 6.
