But DAWN and HyunA proved them wrong by sharing a stronger relationship even after giving up their former K-pop groups and agencies.
Recently, DAWN shared how much he loves — and respects — his girlfriend in a new interview.

DAWN Respects HyunA Not Only Because She Is His Girlfriend
The former PENTAGON member recently graced the pages of Harper’s BAZAAR and talked about his longtime girlfriend during the interview.
According to DAWN, HyunA became his photographer to shoot the cover photos for his new single, Stupid Cool. With that, he expressed his love and respect for the Roll Deep hitmaker.

"Whether HyunA is my girlfriend or not, I have such great respect for her. She is eminent in the field of visual arts. I get a lot of help from her on the colors to use and outfits to wear,” he said. "For this single, HyunA used her own digital camera to take photos of me. As soon as I saw the photos she took of me, I was like, 'Wow, I love them.' I could tell that was how HyunA saw me."
His statement came after the couple took a huge step on their relationship, announcing that they got engaged in February.
They showed their engagement rings online and revealed that they cost enough to pay HyunA’s yearly rent.
DAWN Once Talked About Breakup
DAWN and HyunA’s relationship started in 2018 after becoming friends and labelmates for years. At that time, they confirmed their relationship without Cube Entertainment’s approval.
It led them to end their contracts with the company and forced them to find another label.
In September 2021, the couple appeared on Turkids on the Block episode on Studio Waffle’s YouTube channel.
At that time, DAWN revealed that they promised not to delete their photos online if they broke up. But he still expressed his unconditional love by saying, "I won't love anyone again even if I break up with her.”
