The classic cartoon DuckTales is getting a reboot from Disney XD, and it features an all-star cast behind the voices of characters like Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Scrooge McDuck. A new trailer has been released for the series, and I'd say it looks pretty awesome.
The series is said to draw its visual style from the Carl Barks comic books, and the revival is sure to bring in a whole new generation of kids who'll love DuckTales. Danni Pudi (Community), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), and Bobby Moynihan (SNL) provide the voices for Huey, Dewey, and Louie respectively, with Kate Micucci voicing Webby Vanderquack.
The biggest star in the ensemble is no doubt Doctor Who's David Tennant, and he'll be the man behind ridiculously rich ex-adventurer Scrooge McDuck. It's even fun how Scrooge acts just like the Doctor ā dragging around his young nephews in search of adventure.
Here's the synopsis:
The new DuckTales series' adventures will once again take viewers along as Scrooge McDuck, his curious and mischief-making grandnephewsāHuey, Dewey, and Louieāand the optimistic-yet-temperamental Donald Duck embark on high-flying adventures worldwide. Other beloved characters slated to be in the new stories are Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell & Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys (Burger Beagle, Bouncer Beagle), Mrs. Beakley, and Webbigail Vanderquack.
DuckTales is said to premiere sometime around summer, and it's already confirmed for a second season. Are you excited? I'm excited.
