David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker Team Up for New Doctor Who Video Game

There is little doubt that David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker play two of the most popular incarnations of the legendary Time Lord. But what if Ten and Thirteen team up for an awesome new video game? That's exactly what we're getting in Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality, a new title that will be available on PC and consoles.

The new video game is one of two new titles that have just been announced by Maze Theory and BBC. Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality is a first-person adventure that allows you to play as the Thirteenth Doctor and "features new worlds to explore, new puzzles, new challenges and new gameplay." In addition to that, you get to "come face-to-face with classic Doctor Who monsters including the Daleks and Weeping Angels" and "experience the metal-clad terror of the Cybermen and more foes yet to be revealed."

The second title Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is a mobile game from Kaigan Games that will be available on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch next year.

Ian Hambleton, CEO of Maze Theory, expressed his excitement for the upcoming titles.

"The uniting of The Thirteenth Doctor and The Tenth in Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality is set to be an epic moment in a game that completely re-imagines last year's VR experience. While The Lonely Assassins tells a brand new story exploring the legend of one of the most iconic episodes ever," Hambleton said.

Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality and Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins have not yet been given official release dates but are set to be available in Spring 2021.
