David Hasselhoff Extends His Support To Guardians Of The Galaxy Director James Gunn

It looks like David Hasselhoff has decided to join the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to defend director James Gunn.

Last month, Hollywood was shocked to learn that Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn had been fired by Disney off the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. An alt-right supporter decided to create a smear campaign and bring back offensive and inappropriate tweets that Gunn made fourteen years ago to damage his name, and somehow the tactic worked, getting the film fired from Marvel.

Though some conservative fans think that the Mickey Mouse House did the right thing in separating ways with the director, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and Vol. 2's cast have gathered together to support Gunn along with other fans and celebrities.

Now, joining the film's cast, David Hasselhoff who appeared in GOTG Vol. 2 and in the Guardians of the Galaxy: Inferno music video has decided to join those who've been supporting Gunn in his time of need.

Taking to Twitter, the actor decided to greet Gunn on his birthday today, letting the filmmaker know that he actually made a difference in his life and the millions of others and that he supports the director in his time of need.

Hasselhoff isn't the only celebrity to support the director. A number of other directors have also been tweeting their support for Gunn, and last week Guardians of the Galaxy's cast came together to write a letter to ask Disney to give Gunn his job back.

Unfortunately, it seems very unlikely that Disney would bring Gunn back on the set, though fans can still hope that the company would give the director another chance.
