For the past few years, we have seen a couple of actors who have starred in both MCU and DCEU projects which shatter the common perception that they are only allowed to be part of one superhero movie franchise.

A recent example is the appearances of the actors from DC's The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which are all directed by James Gunn and he himself is proof that it is possible to have unity in both properties.

One of the known actors who is now venturing into both franchises is David Harbour, who is currently playing the Red Guardian in the MCU and is recently announced to be part of the cast of the DCU animated series Creature Commandos.

There is no doubt that being part of both comic book properties is a great opportunity for the Emmy nominee and it's obvious that nothing hindered him from doing both franchises simultaneously.

In an interview with Collider, Harbour was asked about his casting in Creature Commandos and shared his excitement about being part of the DCU. He even claimed that the script for the series is one of Gunn's "best stuff he's ever written."

"I didn't know what it was when it was sent to me; I met with James, and he sort of laid out a lot of stuff. It's really exciting. He considers it some of the best stuff he's ever written. It's hilarious, and the character is great," he said.

"I think it's been announced that it's Frankenstein, and it's a very colorful, terrific character. So, yeah, we've started to shoot stuff. I'm not one to really break, but during this, it is wildly funny stuff. So, yeah, we're shooting. It's hilarious and I can't wait for people to see it."

While his involvement in the DCU is only limited to voice acting so far, Harbour seemed to be excited about his casting in the series nevertheless since he gets to be part of another major franchise and he will likely play the role again in more future projects.

Everything that they've hyped and teased about the series has been promising so far and, hopefully, it will be a successful entry into the DCU that fans will end up loving, especially since it will be the franchise's first official TV series.

DC Studios and Max have not set a release window yet for Creature Commandos.
