David F. Sandberg Trolls Fan Asking for a Shazam! Trailer

We were promised a Shazam! trailer for the new year, but all we got so far was just a new teaser with a few new clips. Fans have been demanding a full new trailer for the movie online, and director David F. Sandberg obliged… sort of.

He sent out this link on Twitter after a fan asked a trailer from him:

And this is what appears when you click it:

HUMOR: Well, it's *a* Shazam trailer...

With Shazam! coming out in April, it's ridiculous how the only full trailer we have for the movie is the one that released back in last year's Comic-Con. No doubt WB is going to release something else, but fans have just been waiting a really long time. If Solo: A Star Wars Story taught us anything, marketing is important if you want to raise awareness for your movie. Otherwise, no one's going to see it.

Add to that Shazam! has to compete with the likes of Avengers: Endgame which comes out later in the same month. Before that, we also have the release of Captain Marvel, and who knows how long that's going to be in theaters?

For now, all we can really do is wait. But at this point, my hype for Shazam! is currently hanging by a thread. Release that trailer, WB!

Catch Shazam! in theaters April 5.
