The DC Universe is about to usher in a new era in the superhero genre and despite the previous regime delivering subpar results greatly influenced by questionable creative decisions, fans are incredibly excited about what James Gunn and Peter Safran have in store.

Last month, news came out that Gunn's first DCU film Superman: Legacy is already in its casting phase. If the rumors are to be believed, several actors are all gunning for the opportunity to become the next live-action Superman and apart from Nicholas Hoult (who is also rumored to be the only choice for Lex Luthor), the pool mainly consists of relatively unknown actors.

This week, we received new updates regarding the highly anticipated Superman reboot and it looks like Gunn has already found the actor who will lead the 2025 project.

Yesterday, reports circulated all over the internet that The Bold and the Beautiful star Pierson Fodé has been added to the list of contenders all vying for the coveted role.

However, his inclusion doesn't seem to have much impact on DC Studios' decision and according to tipster Grace Randolph, James Gunn has already chosen his Superman.

Following the latest rumors, Randolph took to Twitter and pretty much suggested that David Corenswet of Hollywood and Pearl fame is the studio's final pick to take over the Man of Steel role from Henry Cavill.

Alluding to the fandom's desire to see the 29-year-old as the new Superman, she wrote: "Seems the dreams of some of you might be coming true... He owes that hairstylist a lot for giving him the curl".

As it stands, DC Studios has yet to address the ongoing casting reports and we'd like to assume that they're trying to hold information off until next month's San Diego Comic-Con which obviously would be the perfect opportunity to make the announcement.

DC Studios' Superman: Legacy is currently eyeing a July 11, 2025 release date.
