While Suicide Squad didn't get a lot of critical acclaims, it did make a ton of money and gained a big fanbase, with many of them hoping that James Gunn's The Suicide Squad is just as good, though most of us feel that it will be a lot better. As we wait for more details for the 2021 movie, David Ayer has decided to share some awesome behind-the-scenes pictures from his time directing Suicide Squad.
Since Harley Quinn and The Joker were the most anticipated characters from the movie, it makes sense that Ayers would share a swell image of these two crazy cats. Admittedly, these two characters should not be seen as an ideal couple but there's no doubt that they can be interesting characters to dissect.
Ayers did admit that the movie would have focused more on Harley Quinn in his original vision, though the director did defend this version of the movie before. Still, it would have been nice to see what Ayers' original vision was, though some of the deleted scenes he wanted to put in were in the extended Blu-ray version that's available now.
Suicide Squad might not have gotten a great critical reaction but the fact that it still has fans who praise it and even cosplays as some of the characters is something that can't be hated. Here is hoping that The Suicide Squad does better, especially since James Gunn and a number of fairly talented actors are in it.
The Suicide Squad comes out on August 6, 2021. Suicide Squad (2016) is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
