Dave Bautista Says Dune is 'World-Changing' Film Set to Premiere at Venice Film Festival


There is little doubt that people have high expectations of Dune. Not surprisingly, Dave Bautista is hyping up the latest adaptation of the classic fantasy novel, claiming that it will change the world. In addition to that, Denis Villeneuve's upcoming project is reportedly set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival.

Bautista, who is currently promoting his Netflix flick Army of the Dead, also spoke highly about Dune. In a recent interview with USA Today, the Guardians of the Galaxy star praised Villeneuve's movie.

"It's gonna be world-changing," Bautista said. "It's going to be a juggernaut of a film. The people who are Dune fans, they are so passionate about it. These characters and novels, [Villeneuve] did them justice and that really comes from him being a lifelong fan."

We're loving how Bautista is singing praises about the highly anticipated movie. After all, Dune has been delayed but people are eager to see the film soon. Amazingly, the fantasy flick is now expected to launch at the Venice Film Festival.

It is important to point out that Dune is set for release in selected theaters and on HBO Max. However, Variety reports that it is "strongly tipped" to get a physical premiere at the film festival. For now, Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed the news so stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Dune will also star Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem. It is currently set to premiere on October 1, 2021.
