For the past couple of years, we've seen a major trend in the MCU where almost every film and TV show that they release has a surprise cameo appearance of either a new or an established character in the franchise.
In fact, it has become also a norm amongst fans to speculate about the potential cameos that we might see in the projects that they release and rumors would also swirl around the web about the actors or characters that will allegedly make a surprise appearance.
With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arriving in theaters next week, fans have been wondering whether the film will also have surprise cameos. Fortunately, it looks like that is going to be the case according to one of its stars.
As reported by The Direct, in the final press release for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Drax actor Dave Bautista teased that there will be "a lot of cameos" in the film and claimed that it will make the audience cheer in the theater.
"You’re going to see a lot of cameos. Those are the moments where people are going to cheer when they see certain people who have come back for this last movie," he said.
Now that one of its stars has confirmed that the film will have numerous cameos, fans can now speculate on which characters we might see show up for a special appearance and how they will play into the story or sequences that they'll show up.
Based on Bautista's comments, it sounds like it will be the familiar MCU characters that we've seen in past projects. The film's cosmic setting does give us some clues and hints about the characters that we might see pop up.
For now, all we can do is speculate about Bautista's exciting tease about the film and, hopefully, it is indeed going to be the type of cameos that the audience will cheer on as the actor promised.
