Dave Bautista Accidentally Scared Off Viggo Mortensen on the Set of My Spy

Dave Bautista and Viggo Mortensen are actors in two of the most beloved franchises in Hollywood, and it looks like the two might be working together in the action-comedy My Spy. As Bautista shares, he accidentally scared off Mortensen on the first day of shooting.

Check out his tweet:

It's unclear whether Mortensen was actually involved in the making of the movie, but if this was supposed to be some kind of surprise cameo, then Bautista has certainly given it away.

As for the story of My Spy, it sounds pretty much like a remake of The Pacifier starring Vin Diesel. Here's the description via THR:

"[My Spy] will tell the story of a hardened CIA operative (Bautista) who finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl, having been sent undercover to surveil her family."

The film is being directed by Get Smart's Peter Segal and based on Bautista's post, we should also expect appearances from Ken Jeong, Kristen Schaal, Chloe Coleman, and Parisa Fitz-Henley. The script is also provided by Red writers Jon and Erich Hoeber.

Bautista has gotten a steady rise to stardom ever since he got cast as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, and since then he's been in films like Spectre and Blade Runner 2049. He's expected to make a comeback in Avengers 4, but after the whole fiasco with James Gunn, it's possible that he won't be coming back for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

At least, that's what some speculate.

No release date has been set for My Spy, but expect Bautista to return as Drax in Avengers 4 which comes out May 3, 2019.
