Darth Vader Fights For His Life This July in Star Wars: Target Vader

Darth Vader might be a powerful sith lord but the villain has had to fight for his life a number of times. He fought to stay alive after a battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi left him burned to a crisp and now he has to take on a number of bounty hunters in Marvel's new mini-series Star Wars: Target Vader.

While hunting for a crime syndicate that operates outside of The Empire's rule, Vader himself is a target of a bounty hunter group that is planning to kill him. These bounty hunters work for Officer Beilert Valance, who has been described as a fallen Imperial Officer. Also, Valance is a cyborg bounty hunter, which should make him an interesting parallel to the villain.

Vader has been the subject of a number of Marvel mini-series since the character hasn't had an ongoing since Charles Soule wrote for the character. It will be interesting to see how Vader gets himself out of this situation, though most of us know he will live through this since the villain makes it to future Star Wars installments set after this comic.
