We already know that Darth Vader has a certain resentment for Emperor Palpatine after the events in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. But what if the former Anakin Skywalker decided to defy the man who turned him into a Sith Lord?
The new fan film created by YouTube channel Star Wars Theory explores the possibilities of Darth Vader's troubled thoughts as he struggles with his new role in the Empire and mourning the death of Padme Amidala. Interestingly, Vader Episode 1: Shards of the Past opens with something most fans have been hoping to see: Vader kills several Clone Troopers in an effort to make Palpatine pay for Padme's death.
The synopsis for Vader Episode 1: Shards of the Past reads as follows:
"Anakin Skywalker is DEAD.
"For eight months, the mysterious Darth Vader has enforced the Emperor's commands. Fighting between the loss of Padme, and the new cursed life he now leads, Vader must do what must be done when a surviving Jedi Master from Order 66 has lured him to the home planet of his late Wife's tomb..."
It's an impressive film that looks into Vader's emotions with amazing visual effects that might convince anyone that it's an original Star Wars movie. In addition to that, it comes pretty close to everything that happened in the comic book Darth Vader #25.
It is still unclear when Star Wars Theory will release a new episode of their impressive fan films. Nevertheless, we are certainly looking forward to seeing more of Vader's troubles.
