Darth Vader Could Return In Star Wars: Episode IX After This New Comic Reveal

Darth Vader might have given up his life to save Luke in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, but that doesn't mean that fans aren't going to see the iconic, tough-breathing villain in the next Star Wars film, Episode IX. There's a whole lot of fans who believe that Vader could appear in The Last Jedi sequel, and while many anticipate a Sith Force Ghost, a new comic book introduces the idea of Sith Immortality.

According to Express, the latest issue of the official Darth Vader comic, issue 22, offers a new and surprising tidbit of information for everyone. In the comic, Vader is given a helmet of another Sith Lord called Lord Momin.

Lending it to his apprentice, Palpatine tells Vader to bring the helmet to Mustafar where the helmet speaks with the Sith Lord. Could Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) be able to do the same in Episode IX?

Star Wars fans have known how deeply Kylo Ren has idolized his grandfather. Not only does the wayward child of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia (Carrie Fisher) look to Vader for an example, but during The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren speaks to the crushed mask of the fallen Sith Lord.

Sure, the helmet might have never spoken back, but with this new issue of Darth Vader out, we cannot entirely rule out that possibility in Episode IX. After all, director J.J. Abrams did set p that scene in the Force Awakens. A speaking Vader helmet would be an interesting item in the film – it could either underline the power of the Dark Side or it could be used to reveal a delusional and mentally unstable Kylo Ren.
