Darth Maul will Return Soon on Star Wars Rebels

Star Wars Rebels made its explosive premiere last Saturday, introducing a new antagonist for our heroes to struggle with, Grand Admiral Thrawn. Now TV Guide has released a few more synopses that show our heroes will have even more trouble to contend with in upcoming episodes.

First, there's the synopsis for episode 2 of season 3, which will premiere on October 1st:

The Holocrons of Fate:When Maul takes the crew of the Ghost hostage, Ezra and Kanan must pass a trial in order to recover an ancient Sith artifact to save them.

This confirms the return of Darth Maul as an antagonist for the show. The next synopsis is for episode 3, which will premiere on October 8th:

The Antilles Extraction:Sabine goes undercover as a cadet in the Empire's elite flight academy to help free several young pilots who want to defect to the rebellion.

The final episode summary is for episode four. It will air October 15th.

Hera's Heroes:Hera's rebel supply mission to Ryloth becomes personal when she and the Ghost crew brave overwhelming Imperial forces to recover a memento from her ancestral home.

. It follows a group of rebels on the starsship frieghter Ghost. The cast features Taylor Gray as Ezra Bridger, Freddie Prinz Jr. as Kanan Jarrus, Vanessa Marshall as Hera Syndulla, Tiya Surcar as Sabine Wren and Steve Blum as Zeb Orrelios.
