Rosario Dawson may no longer have room at Marvel TV now that Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil have all been canceled b Netflix, but that doesn't mean that the Sin City star doesn't have prospects elsewhere. Now that Zombieland's sequel is set to begin production within the next two weeks, it looks like Sony has just hired Dawson to take part in Zombieland: Double Tap.
According to a new report by Deadline, the original Zombieland ensemble is going to gain a new face in Double Tap, this time Marvel Netflix star Rosario Dawson. Though details about the actress' Zombieland 2 character have yet to be released, previous rumors about the film's plot say that Woody Harrelson's Tallahassee will cross paths with a female zombie killer going by the name of Nevada that many suspect will become the character's romantic interest in the film. While the role could go to someone else, we can definitely see Dawson playing Nevada – after all, who better to play a zombie-killing queen than Marvel TV's Night Nurse?
Right now there's very little information about what's going to happen in Zombieland: Double Tap. However, reports say that the sequel will see Tallahassee, Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) making the White House their camp only to break up after a major fight. When Little Rock runs off together with a new character named Berkely (Avan Jogia), the other three will set off to find her and encounter new types of undead like "ninja zombies."
Zombieland 2 is set for release October 11, 2019.
