Daredevil Star Charliex Cox Doesn’t Believe There’ll Be A Fourth Season

Marvel fans might be hoping for Marvel to resurrect Daredevil now that the series' contract with Netflix is over, however, Matt Murdock actor Charlie Cox doesn't believe that the studio is going to work on a fourth batch of episodes for the show.

Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com to help prepare for the entertainment news outlet's Daredevil Quarantine Watch Party this week, Charlie Cox was asked whether he feels like Marvel might develop another season of the hit Marvel Netflix series.

Sure, fans might be trying to keep hope afloat, but Cox doesn't really feel the same way.

"I don't feel that way, no. And, I don't know why I don't feel that way," Cox tells us. "But, I haven't been given any reason to believe that. And, from a cynical point of view, it just feels like maybe I'm trying to protect myself, 'cause I'd love nothing more than to do it again."

There was a whole lot of devastation when Netflix sent Daredevil to the guillotine the same way it did with Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, Punisher, and Jessica Jones. While fans understood why Netflix would want to cancel Luke Cage and Iron Fist seeing how the series had poor viewership during their second seasons, it didn't make sense for the streaming platform to ax Daredevil despite its critical acclaim. Unfortunately, Netflix had to ax the shows because it was cutting ties with Marvel – all of Disney's content had to move out of the streaming site so that they could make their way to Disney+.
