Danny Boyle Says The Batman Star Robert Pattinson Should Be The Next James Bond

The world might still be learning to accept the fact that Robert Pattinson in the new Batman but former James Bond 25 director Danny Boyle already has an idea on what role the Harry Potter star should take on next. Boyle believes that Battinson would be perfect as the next 007.

Boyle recently spoke to The Guardian about his new film Yesterday as well as his unfortunate exit from James Bond 25. Interestingly, the Slumdog Millionaire director admitted that he was so impressed with Pattinson's performance in the movie High Life that he felt the actor could take on the role of the British spy.

"It was so bizarre, because I was sitting there thinking: ‘Oh my God, they should get [Pattinson] to be the next Bond,'" Boyle said. He even pointed out that the Twilight star is at the right age to play 007.

"He must be in his 30s. How old was Connery? He's ready now," Boyle said.

It's certainly a strange idea for some but Boyle is clearly convinced that Pattinson has what it takes to be the next James Bond. After all, if he has been chosen to play Batman in the upcoming Matt Reeves film, Pattinson shouldn't have a problem becoming the new 007.

Although Boyle is set on having Pattinson as the new James Bond, there's another young actor who is currently in the running to replace Daniel Craig. It was previously reported that former Game of Thrones star Richard Madden is being considered for the role.
