DanMachi: Does Ryuu Ever Join Hestia Familia?

Ryuu Lion was a former adventurer of the Astraea Familia, one of the many Familias mentioned in DanMachi. It was an exploration-type Familia led by Astraea until most of the members were killed. Does that mean that Ryuu will move to another Familia? Is there a chance for Ryuu Lion to join the Hestia Familia instead?

Ryuu is a female Elf with green hair and sky blue eyes. Originally, her hair was blonde until the employees of the Hostess of Fertility dyed it green.

As one of the waitresses of Hostess of Fertility, she is usually seen in a green maid outfit with a frilled headband.

Once she goes out on an adventure, she wears a green hood with a white sleeveless top. Her outfit is completed by her brown gloves and boots. She also has a wooden sword and short swords.

Does Ryuu Ever Join Hestia Familia?

As of writing, Ryuu has not joined Hestia Familia. There were also no hints that she will join, but things can still change in the light novel depending on DanMachi’s creator.

In the recent chapters of DanMachi, Ryuu decided to visit Astraea. It could mean that Ryuu wanted to be active in Astraea Familia again or she needed the goddess’ blessing to move to another group.

What we do know for now is that the Hestia Familia will benefit if Ryuu joins them.

The status of the Familia will be boosted, and they could get high-ranking missions. This could also encourage others to join the Familia, like Welf Crozzo and Liliruca Arde.

The tricky part would be how Astraea will feel about all this. If Ryuu does decide to move to Hestia Familia, it could mean that she is officially abandoning Astraea, which is something Ryuu is not likely to do based on her personality.

But Astraea could let her go once the goddess finds out that Ryuu is doing well with Bell and Hestia.

Being in the Hestia Familia could help improve Ryuu’s abilities similar to Kaguya’s level.

Ultimately, the decision will depend on Ryuu if she decides to go. Astraea wants Ryuu to be happy and will support her always.
