Here's some excellent news for those who don’t play on PC or mobile. The recently launched DanMachi Battle Chronicle RPG is confirmed to be released on PS5 and PS4 sometime in 2024.
With this, fans who prefer playing on their PlayStation console will be able to do so, albeit after waiting for some time.
The PlayStation release announcement was made via the game’s official channels, including its X (or Twitter) account.
While not a lot of details have been shared so far, fans can expect these new versions to play the same as the original.
DanMachi: Battle Chronicle Initially Released for Mobile and PC
DanMachi or Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is a popular fantasy franchise that became well-known thanks to the anime adaptation which began back in 2016.
It arguably is one of the shows to popularize the long title trend among isekai and fantasy series. It also became quite popular thanks to its memorable cast, especially Hestia.
Thanks to its popularity, the series has gotten multiple anime seasons, along with a range of projects, including several video game adaptations.
The latest game in the franchise is DanMachi Battle Chronicle, an RPG with a visual novel-style presentation for its story portions.
This game also features the anime’s voice cast, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Inori Minase as Bell Cranel and Hestia, respectively.
Battle Chronicle was released in August on iOS, Android, and PC. But now, it is confirmed that the game is also heading to PlayStation consoles soon.

DanMachi Battle Chronicle Also Confirmed to Release on PS5 and PS4
On the game’s official X account, it was confirmed that DanMachi Battle Chronicle is coming to PS5 and PS4 sometime next year.
Not a lot of other details were shared, though it was confirmed that the accounts between PlayStation and the PC/mobile versions cannot be linked.
This likely means players with existing mobile accounts won’t be able to link their progress on PlayStation, so they’ll need to make a new account and start from the beginning.
For comparison, other mobile games that got PlayStation releases have cross-save and cross-play capabilities. These include titles like Genshin Impact.
Currently, there’s no word yet on a specific release date for DanMachi Battle Chronicle on PS5 and PS4 as it’s only confirmed to launch sometime in 2024.
In the meantime, fans who can’t wait for the PlayStation versions can download the game for free on iOS, Android, and PC.
