It looks like Daniel Radcliffe wants to join another major franchise outside of Harry Potter.
The English actor and producer just recently spoke in an interview with MTV news to help promote his new movie Guns Akimbo, and during the discussion, Radcliffe opened up about how he hasn't really done that much stunts since he starred in the Harry Potter franchise.
Radcliff was asked if he considers his action role in Guns Akimbo as the start of a career as an action star, the British actor cast the question aside, saying that he doesn't really get cast in action movies. Somehow the discussion then moved on to the possibility of Radcliff joining the epic, action-heavy franchise, Fast and Furious.
The Harry Potter actor said that he'd be interested to join Fast & Furious – as long as he isn't made to drive.
It's a fun thought seeing Radcliff in the Fast & Furious film franchise. The actor doesn't often take action roles, instead of taking on films like Kill Your Darlings (2013), Frankenstein (2015), Swiss Army Man, Imperium, and Now You See Me 2. He even branched out to stage acting, starring in London and New York productions of Equus as well as the 2011 Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. It would be interesting seeing Radcliff doing action stunts for the Fast & Furious series. It would be his first major film franchise outside the Harry Potter film series.
Unfortunately, it seems like Radcliff wasn't really serious with his answers.
Fast and Furious 9 is set for release on May 22, 2020.
